Welcome from Christopher Harris
Hello Summit attendees, and welcome to the discussion space for the School Library 2.0 track. I am greatly looking forward to the conversations that will help define the emerging ideas that collectively make up School Library 2.0. My first explorations of this topic on Infomancy were guided by the discussions about Library 2.0 and Web 2.0. As such, I thought it might be helpful to provide some resources so that we can approach this conversation from a common background. Please make use of the wiki to add links to additional resources or definitions. You can change any page on the wiki by clicking the "Edit" button and providing the wiki password (slj). While we certainly encourage you to try editing pages, you can also participate through page comments. To leave a comment, you will have to first log in to the wiki.

Welcome from Michael Stephens
Greetings all! I'm looking forward to the Summit and to discussing SL2 with the incredible folks on the panel and the attendees. The concepts of digitally re-shifting school libraries can be useful for so many librarians: they're scalable, flexible and reasonably inexpensive. I am fascinated by the real-life examples, such as the Night Blog by Margaret Lincoln at Lakeview High School in Michigan, that engage students and promote collaboration. See you at the Summit! What is a library, in a world where information flows in such ways?
Before the SLJ Summit, I posted several blogs, asking readers to comments about the function of the library and the librarian when virtually all practical information is only a mouse click away. Here are links to the blog entries and their comments.
